Hey guys!

Sorry for no PT again, I've been thumbnailing comic pages more than doodling/illustrating/sketching, so there's not much to show right now (which...is a good thing, right?)

In the meantime, hope you guys enjoy this baby! xD

I drew the first half over my livestream [link] and finished it up over the weekend.
Thanks everyone who came!
(I usually livestream on Saturdays, but I have yet to maintain a schedule. Til then, I announce my livestreams over my Tumblr, so if you'd like, feel free to follow me here too! :) [link] )

"Savage Kingdoms" is an old, old story of mine that I've been reinventing slowly.
It's still a backburner project but it's fun to think about from time to time!
I'm a huge junkie for action stories, so it's nice to take a break from all the fashion and romance, haha

The premise is still under development, but the rough idea is there!

------:bulletblack:------

A post-apocalyptic fantasy world that is devoid of animal life, save for the human race.
As a result, the animals we are familiar with are mythological to the people of this dingy world.

There is constant war for domination between the four Kingdoms: clans of powerful warriors who call upon the powers of these mythological creatures.
But the balance begin to tip when one warrior goes astray...

-Clan of the Third Eye-
Real Name: Sune [soo-NAY]

With hair like fire, eyes dark like ink, and a soul as clean and fragile as new fallen snow.
The missing Warrior.

:bulletblack:The Mimic:
-Clan of the Cross-
Real Name: Banyu [bah-nyoo]
Weapon: Nets and Hooks
Animal: Mimic Octopus
A mind sharper than steel, and a gaze that pierces even the darkest of nights.

Hopefully more to come eventually!
(And more PT, of course! xD)

Ahhhomg I remember when you were doing this! STILL SUPER BIASED FOR SUNE BTW HIS HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL.

Seeing him complete though is super cool though, as well as Banyu. The outfits are awesome and the story outline really draws me in ;u;b

I'm an action story junky as well. Biggest indicator of this is that I'm a shameless Naruto junkie. So much happens all the time. Can't wait to see more of this, I really like Banyu.

This concept looks fantastic, I love action and adventure in a fantasy setting. The designs are pretty awesome and they look heavily inspired by Asian culture. The character on the right looks like he has a sea creature for an animal and judging by his title it may be an octopus or another type of fish/mammal/something else from the sea that uses camouflage.

And I'm not sure about this but is there a reference to the bat being the cousin of the fox in the left characters The Flying Fox title? Or was that not intentional?

Haha, thank you much! :D

You're pretty much spot-on for everything.
There is direct Feudal Japanese inspiration that goes into the designs, and yes, his animal is a mimic octopus.

"Flying Fox" is a nickname for fruit bats here (not sure if it's the same in Canada :O), so it's a play on words (since fruit bat sounds kind of silly)

Yeah, I've only every heard and read Fruit Bat being used. Flying Fox is sort of weird but its definitely more badass. I asked because the bat is distantly related to the fox, I can't remember exactly how I came across this information but I think it was an article about bats and it mentioned it in passing.
