So.... Hey guys :)
Any of you remember these two?

That's Renee (or Ren) on the left, she's a Grim Reaper.
And Ashley (or Ash) on the right, a Vampire.

They were the main characters of my story SalaDays.

SD was my rise to fame here on dA, honestly, and well... I missed them.
I missed them a lot X//D

I was randomly struck with the inspiration to draw them again over some comments I'd gotten here and there over the last couple months about it.
A lot of people asking where the comic was, if I was going to work on it again.

The truth is, I don't know.

I don't know when I'll work on it again.

I will admit that I lost my spark for this story.
It's not that I didn't accomplish what I set out to do all those years ago, that's not what happened.
What happened was I had no idea where the story was going.
I had some vague ideas here and there, but I was really disorganized.
I was just skimming by, I had no real plan.

So I stopped it.
Even though I was lost, without a blueprint, I loved it.
I still do.
I still love these characters.
But I stopped because I loved them.

I didn't do the characters justice, so I wanted to put them away so I could grow up first.

I don't think I'm quite ready to bring them back yet... I think I've grown up, yeah, but the inspiration still hasn't quite come back.

So I wanted to draw this just to remind everyone that I still think of them often, and I still love them, and I still plan to flesh out their story someday.

I know fans of the old version may not be happy with the redesigns, but I think it makes them stand out more.
It's more... them.

Maybe I'll draw the others soon, but who knows.

Right now I'm gonna focus on the projects I am working on, and just let SD come to me as it pleases.

Wow sorry, that ended up being a whole load of sap

I'll buy it when it becomes a physical thing, like a comic or something. Then I'll never have to miss it again.

My favorite part of SalaDays that comes to mind is this:

Ash has just finished a quick snack on a random classmate.

Random girl: "Now I'm too weak to move! You suck Ash!"

*Ashe wipes her mouth*

Ash: "I'm a vampire. Of course I suck."

Random girl: "That was the worst joke Ash...like ever!"

Ash: "It had to be made..."

I laughed for a good while after I read that years ago. I love Ren and Ash's new looks, and look forward to their return!
