So this started out as me randomly deciding Su-Mi plays a Ukulele _{(because it's so underground LOL)}
and wanting to sketch it

OBVIOUSLY IT DID NOT STAY A SKETCH.

But that's okay!

because I got to experiment with backgrounds and patterns and textures and-and _{THIS PIECE TURNED OUT PRETTY AWESOME.
YEAH I'M KINDA PROUD.

also I got this done in a day...I am feeling pretty good
yay for labor day weekend, now back to the work grind, LOL}

Anyway, LOL
this picture is when Monica first lays eyes on Su-Mi
SO ROMANTIC.

If you know the reference of the title, congrats, you just gained some insight into Su-Mi's personality, and a bit of a cohesive theme in the M&S story_{-----

/begin technical jargon that you probably won't care about
I'm playing around a lot with Graphic design elements in PT as a general theme...a lot of typography and strong shapes with focus on the characters, bold lines, and patterns/textures.
such as seen below

*needs to stop plugging this picture omg*

In this piece, particularly, I was trying to keep things generally flat and designed, while still trying to give the environment depth using value changes and atmospheric perspective

I think it's working...and it definitely helped me get a better idea on how I want to tackle the backgrounds in the comic
gonna experiment with this some more!

Su Mi looks almost the same as a friend of mine! Like, you change the tattoos, and tweak the outfits, and voila! It's my friend! So crazy, lol. I love your work!
