Strider Hiryu's game was out long before Bakuryu was created.
So Bakuryu looks like him :)

It's true about the magenta. Just look at Gambit.

I will confess that I am unfamiliar with Strider Hiryu, but your art makes me want to learn more about him. What is he from?

oh Gambit, my hero as a child xD

Strider Hiryu is a game character from an old CAPCOM arcade, called..well.."Strider"
They reintroduced him in their crossover fighting game "Marvel vs. Capcom" and he got a sequel after due to his new popularity
