some basic guides to the female body.....
The length of the head can be used as a proportion marker....one head down from the chin meets the nipples...another head down is the belly button...another head and its the crotch......
I'm now going to address some common misconceptions abuot the female body.....
the female body and muscle definition is exactly the same as the male body...only more subtle
and SUBTLE does NOT mean NONEXISTANT!
too many people neglect female muscles!

Oh yeahh...and dont be afraid to give your female character shoulders >_>;;
a lot of ppl are afraid of giving their girls shoulders, thinking itll make them look too manly...but it doesnt!
as long as its balanced out by the width of the hips, it will look fine!
That does NOT mean that the hips are the SAME width as the shoulders!
NO! that just makes them look FAT!!!!
the hips are slightly narrower than the shoulders
