Kye is an earthbender from one of the smaller islands near Kiyoshi.
She belongs to a clan there known as the Crimson Sand, a group specializing in the underground world of political assassination.
Despite her young age and physical handicap, she is a remarkable and disciplined fighter with nearly unbreakable focus.

On a mission to a port city near Chin, Kye encounters a rowdy pirate who throws her life into chaos... and destroys that unbreakable focus.
