Chasing the Sun is a fan-project that takes place before the events of Avatar: the Last Airbender. It's a darker story about human trafficking and the world of assassination during a time of war



This is a set of character studies, both of default outfits and body types/diversity.
I apologize for semi-nudity, but I don't really think it needs a mature filter

There's no comic (yet), we're just in the for-fun conceptualizing phase and will be for a while :)

These are my characters, Yama and Marduk.

Yama is a rebellious fire-bender with all the spark to match.
His aggression can rival that of Kou's, but he has a much harder time suppressing it so he over-trains his body as a means to compensate.

Marduk, on the other hand, is a tall, silent non-bender from the Northern Water Tribe.
His calm but intimidating demeanor balances and keeps Yama in check. He specializes in disguises.

They are in a relationship.

I had a very nice time looking at all your studies. Your characters are very inspiring, and you have a great sense of detail =) All those characters would make a fascinating story, if you choose to write it !

when he takes his facepaint off, it's much easier :XD:
But I made him bald so that he could wear wigs much easier too. I should do a couple sketches of disguises he does

Is Marduk's facepaint supposed to be based off any specific animal? ouo Or did you just mess with it until you thought, "Damn, son, this looks great on him."?
